A Chicago police officer’s death has been blamed on cleaning chemicals sprayed by the janitor at the Morgan Park District police station during morning roll call, according to the medical examiner’s report.
The report concluded that 42-year-old Kevin Robinson inhaled fumes from an unidentified cleaning spray on March 7, and was hospitalized with breathing problems the next day. He died on April 4.
Robinson had suffered from asthma as a child, but did not have any respiratory health problems as an adult and was a non-smoker.
